sunny sunday

Following a succession of sobering occurrences I got it in my head to take a walk and see just what was out there in South London down Coldharbour Lane beyond the market in Brixton. Not exactly a cheery sight. At least the sun shone warmly and the flowers are out.

    No, no fire – just another boarded up, derelict building in London…. Sad. I liked the contrast between the flowers and the building, with the shadows of the leafless trees reminiscent of the loneliness of the abandoned building.

    Was there a fire and that is why they boarded up the house? Love the flowers as it makes me feel like spring is on the way. Too much so here. Thanks for sharing the photo.
