Sometimes the best option is a trip to someplace high with a long view over plenty of water and trees for the breeze to blow your thoughts away through. Arthur’s Seat on the Mornington Peninsula is a perfect fit and then afterwards some good food and wine in Red Hill wouldn’t go astray too (will plan for that next time!). The pleasant surprise was discovering Seawinds Garden, reminiscent of the better parts of Brockwell Park and Crystal Palace Park in South London. If you’re into BBQs in parks that’s your spot.
The view in that last one is Matthew Flinders Cairn, Mt Martha, Mornington, then in the hazy distance Mt Dandenong.
