the uncertain hitchhiker…

A grasshopper hitched a ride with me from Port Melbourne to St Kilda East today at 2pm. Almost 10km on my windscreen at speeds up to 70km/hr. Whodathunkit. The intrepid traveller even managed to walk around.

At 4.45pm I departed for Fitzroy and the sweetheart was still there, on my side window, enjoying the warmth I guess. Held on all the way, another 10km! At my destination I thought I’d lost him but no, there he was on the sunroof. Didn’t wait for the return journey though. Hopefully safe and sound in someone’s garden.

He certainly didn’t want to let go. Amazing they can hold on so tight. Great photos! Kathy
